SberBusiness is the digital banking platform of Sberbank, the largest bank in Eastern Europe. It provides entrepreneurs and small businesses with online services such as loans, guarantees, and company data management.
My role was to digitize the loan application process, improve conversion, and reduce manual steps.

Enabled online document upload for loan applications — previously clients had to visit a branch, which was especially challenging for entrepreneurs in remote regions.

The product selection page was the entry point before creating a loan application. It contained outdated fields and lacked clarity in presenting product details.

Consulted with lawyers to update the form according to legal requirements.
Collaborated with analysts to clean up unnecessary fields.
Conducted usability testing with entrepreneurs to understand decision criteria.
Added clear credit cards with icons for key parameters (time, collateral, surety).
Worked with developers to redesign the progress bar logic.
My actions:

Submitting accurate documents was a bottleneck. Previously, clients had to visit branches, which was especially difficult for entrepreneurs in remote areas.

Researched documents required across different funnel stages and Sberbank products.
Identified duplicates between registration and application packages.
Designed a model (with analysts) to detect existing files in the database.
Allowed clients to skip re-uploading previously submitted documents.
Kept the option to upload at any stage to reflect updated data.

Bank guarantees often involve external parties like tax or customs authorities. Clients had to fill in irrelevant data, which caused errors and a high number of support requests.

Analyzed the guarantee process with business analysts.
Found the key issue: mandatory customer data entry even when unnecessary.
Redesigned the flow so users could first choose the guarantee’s customer.
Automated data retrieval when the customer was an external authority.
Reduced user mistakes and significantly lowered support load.

Clients often needed to update company data to match the Unified State Register of Legal Entities. This required offline visits and slowed down loan processing.
